MA Art and Environment 2013

BA Hons Illustration 2002

I grew up in Scotland  and moved to Cornwall to study at Falmouth College of Arts where I subsequently fell in love with the rhythm that life and landscape offers here in the South West. During time living on the Isles of Scilly I started to explore what it means to belong to location and the synergy between man and land. This response to environment resulted in developing a visual language through painting and an engagement in community projects.

I am currently working on small self initiated projects that examine sense of space, balance of light and energy and documenting the changing skies in relation to weather. I run a plain air painting course, ‘COAST’ at Newlyn School of Art.
